It's a 2 inch plum

I am 12 weeks and starting to feel great!  The morning sickness comes on strong and hits me hard, but doesn't last long, thankfully!  My only complaint is my energy level.  I am soooo tired.  Ok, "tired" isn't even enough.  I was tired before I got pregnant.  This first trimester I have been exhausted.  It doesn't matter what time I go to bed or how many naps I take, I stay worn out.  I cannot wait for this to pass so I can get some things done around here.

This week we went to see the ultrasound specialist.  (My OB refers all patients.)  Marc and I got to see our baby for almost an hour.  We counted fingers, looked at the stomach, made sure the heart was strong, and saw him/her wave and dance.  This was the most amazing day of my life, well besides my wedding day.  Getting to to see your baby on the screen moving around so happy and healthy is indescribable.  It has been so amazing seeing Marc take on the role of a father.  I love to see how his eyes light up when he gets to see his tiny baby.  He has been everything I could have hoped and prayed for and more. I must brag for a second... The last 3 weeks he has been making his own dinner every night because I cannot seem to stomach anything besides Lucky Charms, pickles & pretzels (only together), pop tarts, and Baked Lays chips.  I know it doesn't seem like much, I mean he is an adult, but he hasn't said a word about it.  I guess it doesn't seem like a big deal when I write it out, but I think he has been a trooper.  He has stepped up with the cleaning, grocery shopping, and running errands.

Speaking of the grocery store... Why didn't anyone tell me you will be miserable there?  Does anything else get this way?  The minute I get inside, I get sweaty, irritable, starving beyond belief, and lightheaded.  My mom told me she got like that with all of us, but I thought it was just her.  Please tell me I am not the only one.

Introducing Baby Batangan:

1.) For those of you that aren't familiar with U/S the baby's head is on the left, then you can see a little hand, the body, and sticking up on the right is his/her tiny foot.

2.) This is just a profile picture of the face.  So precious!

  1. I was at the store a couple of weeks ago & thought I was going to pass out. I broke into a cold sweat, got dizzy & had to open a box of cookies just to make it through. I thought it was so strange because that has never happened to me before.
