Appendectomy

Last Friday, I started getting this horrible pain in my stomach, after 4 hours I decided that it was time to go to the hospital.  I am going to bore you with the details just in case this ever happens to you.  First off, it started in my upper ribs and it was a dull consecutive pain.  Then it traveled to my entire stomach.  It was very frustrating to me, because it wasn't a focused pain, but a general pain.  Sometimes it would even hurt in my lower back.  If you know anything about me, you probably know my HATE for hospitals.  I am sure you can imagine, I didn't go without a fight.  After they got in me and gave me some hard core drugs, they were able to do a CT scan.  It was easy to tell that I my appendex was inflammed.  They told me in the ER that I would be having surgery in a few hours and that I would be taken to a room for now.  (This was around 5:00pm)  The doctor finally came into my room around 10:30 to tell me that he was "too tired" to do the surgery and that it would be better to wait until the morning.  I was ok with this because A.)  I don't want a tired guy opening me up, B.) They had given me such great medicine and antibyotics that I wasn't in much pain anymore.  Saturday morning around 6:30 they rolled me back to the operating room.  The surgery was a success and I am recovering great.  Actually, I am just laying in bed watching TV.  I am not a "lay in bed and watch TV" all day type of girl.  I am seriously going crazy.  Last night I had a dream that I was a HGTV host and I was re-doing people's homes.  Who I am to think I can "re-do" other people's houses?!?  I am not even finished decorating mine!  I hope I am feeling better soon, I cannot wait to get out of my bed!!!

My MEAN razorback-looking appendex.

One great thing that came out of sitting in bed for the past 5 days was a nice relazing pedi from Marc.  Yes, my sweet husband agreed to give me a pedicure since I cannot leave the house.  He even spoke pretend Chinese for most of it.  :)  I had a great time.  I took this picture against his will, so please keep this a secret between you and me.  He would kill me!!  (I am so sorry that I cannot figure out how to get my pictures upright.  They look perfect when I save them, but then they upload all wrong.  I am too tired to care right now.)

I hope you all have a great weekend!!!
