Sassy Kinley

For those of you that don't know my precious Kinley Parks, you are missing out.  She is the most intellegent, sassy, cutest bundle of joy you will ever find in a 3 year old.  This weekend my family was in town for our Couple's wedding shower hosted by my wonderful Aunt Amy.  (I will blog about this later when I get the pictures from Macy).  Anyway, I want to tell you all a funny story about Kinley.

I was giving her a bath (one of her favorite parts of the day) and she had been in there for a while.  I even had to run more warm water bc I thought the water was getting too cold.  I started with a 5 minute countdown until we had to wash her hair.  (I don't know anything about motherhood, but my mom always told me, you have to PREPARE them for the next event.)  After a pull and tug game for about another 20 minutes.  I told her I was going to have to go tell Macy.  I went and asked Macy how do I get to wash her hair without crying.  (I am the favorite aunt... I don't want to make her cry.)  Macy very patiently told me to tell her the order of how things are going to go tonight so she can see her movie tomorrow.  I started to explain to KP that she has to wash her hair, then get out of the tub, put her PJ's on, and go to bed.  All of these had to happen so that she could go to see Romana and Beezus in the morning.  I was trying to remember to say things slow and precise because I was speaking to a 3 year old.  Kinley looked up to me and said and I quote, "JJ, I don't want to wash my hair, so it looks like I won't be going to see the movie in the morning."  I was so flabbergasted, I had to run out of the room so she didn't see my laughing.
